3 Free Things To Do in St. Augustine, Florida During the Holiday Season
My quaint home of choice is also the nation’s oldest city, and therefore home to a booming tourism industry. Because of that, there’s plenty to do and see in St. Augustine, both paid and free.
But since everyone loves free things to do for the whole family, let’s focus there. Here are 3 fun things to do in St. Augustine during the holidays.
First Friday Art Walk
On the first Friday of each month, participating art galleries in downtown St. Augustine feature new exhibits and offer live music and refreshments (including wine!)…all for free! (Fun fact: this was my hubby’s and my first official planned date!)
Check out participating galleries here.
Nights of Lights
One of the local favorites – Nights of Lights – will run from November 17, 2018 to February 3, 2019 in the historic downtown area of St. Augustine. Starting with the millions of tiny twinkle lights in the city center, you’ll find the entire town covered in them all through the holidays.
Learn more about Nights of Lights here.
San Sebastian Winery
The San Sebastian Winery gives free daily tours and wine tastings Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-6 p.m. There is live music on the weekends, also free! The winery/live music experience is perfect for visiting friends and family, and locals alike.

Don’t miss my post on free/special places to dine on your birthday in St. Augustine, either!
