5 Secrets To Having a Kick Ass Week

Last week I had an one hell of an amazing week. It was one of those my-hormones-the-stars-and-life-have-aligned weeks. And since not every week is like that, I want to share some of the things I learned.

1. Wake up on the right side of the bed.

It’s amazing what a full night’s sleep can do for you. Make sure you hit the sack with plenty of time to get the right amount of sleep for you. Some of us only need 7 hours, others need more like 9. For me personally, 8 hours seems to do the trick.

2. Start positive every day.

Start with a great breakfast. Or morning yoga. Or a to-do list. Or even positive affirmations.

A positive start means a positive finish as far as I’m concerned. So try whatever is gong to do it for you. It’s not easy, but someone’s got to do it.

3. Do your happy dance.

Be silly. Do a dance. Jump up and down. Scream with joy. Laugh a good belly laugh.

These are all the ways we show joy, life, and spirit as humans. And hey…when you’re having a kick ass week, you need to have your happy dance ready to go.

4. Stay balanced.

Whether you’re killing it at work or at home – or both – don’t forget about the simple things in life. That means staying balanced.

Don’t forget to exercise, drink plenty of water, and eat right. That’ll keep a kick ass week going strong. Trust me.

5. Keep perspective.

Not every week is going to be a kick ass one. It’s important to remember this. There are good days and there are bad ones, so be sure to enjoy both. It’s what keeps the balance.
