Wouldn’t It Be Nice to Have It All Figured Out For Good?
Do you ever stop and think…this. This is the moment I’ve been waiting for where I have it all figured out.
Then, five minutes later…BAM! You realize you know nothing about the world, the people in it, or what you want in life? You suddenly feel like you have to figure it all out again.
You’ve probably started thinking “wouldn’t it be nice to have it all figured out for good?”
Honestly? No. And here’s why.
It’s true that it’s all in the journey, not the destination.
Think about it. If you had everything that you want right this moment, would you be happy? For most of us, the answer is no.
Do you know why? Because it’s so much more fulfilling to have done the work and taken the journey to get to your destination, than it would have been to just gotten everything you wanted.

Of course, we do want to accomplish our dreams. But once we do, there are more dreams to be made.
Can you imagine how boring that would be?
Imagine if there were no problems to solve. No wrongs to right. No missions to fulfill. How boring would that be?!
That’s exactly what your life would look like if you had it all figured out all the time.
Again, that’s why we’re constantly dreaming up new dreams, that’s why we’re constantly journeying towards new accomplishments, and that’s why we are never going to have it all figured out.
You can figure out one aspect, but you’re never going to have it all figured out.
That’s life, my love.
It’s just a reality that we aren’t going to have every aspect of our life figured out all at the same time. That’s basically impossible (and also boring (see #2) and means you’re not going anywhere (see #1)).
Come to terms with the fact that it may seem certain areas of your life are on target, while others are not. (Learn more about that by reading this post.)
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable with certain areas of your life, and then get working on those dreams, girl!!!
Are you getting bogged down with trying to “have it all figured out?”
