Passion Is What Passion Does
The following post is apart of Alex Beadon’s Feel Good Blogging Challenge. While I’m usually skeptical about doing things like this, I think it’s going to be a powerful blogging exercise.
I’ve talked about passion a lot before: being passionate about what you do and who you are as a person.
It makes sense I’d talk about passion so much; I’m a Scorpio, afterall.
If that’s the case, today’s blog challenge (write about what makes you passionate) should be an easy one, right? Wrong.

When I sat down to think about it, passion is what drives me in my everyday life. If I’m not passionate about something, it quickly falls off my radar. My first answer to what I’m passionate about: well, everything.
So what really drives me? The thirst for knowledge and experiences.
As children, we spend our time playing. It’s how we learn as kids. We spend countless hours imagining a magical fairy world with nothing other than a set of flimsy costume wings, or building an entire fort city in the middle of the woods with nothing other than the tools Mother Nature has provided us. Imaginations run ramped when you’re a child…you can grow up to do anything you want, be anything you want.
And then we grow up.

Ready to create harmony in your busy life?

Most of us lose that child-like appreciation of the world around us. That little part of us that keeps whispering “anything is possible.”
While we have to make practical decisions as adults, I never want to stop learning. I love figuring out why people act the way they act. I love learning a new yoga pose. I love having a new adventure and learning a new skill.
But it’s more than just that…learning is great, sure, but what good is it without putting it to use? I want to experience life.
And isn’t that the beautiful part? The experience.
