3 Mompreneur Tips for Staying Sane & Balanced

You’re a mom and you’re running a business.

Congratulations! You’re part of a growing group of women who are redefining what it means to have a successful career and following their dreams for a family.

But as any mompreneur knows, running a business and raising a family is no easy feat. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and yes, even a little bit of magic, to keep everything going.

More than once you’ve felt overwhelmed.

More than once you’ve felt in over your head.

And more than once you’ve felt like it’s all too much.

3 Mompreneur Tips for Staying Sane & Balanced

Staying sane and balanced may not feel attainable right now…but it can be. Sure, it’s not going to be perfect, but if you can make some small changes that help you feel like you’re winning both in work and at home, you’ll be that much more confident that mompreneurship is the right choice for you.

Here are three tips you can start with right now.

1. DON’T DO IT ALL YOURSELF

As tempting as it is to try to do everything yourself, it’s just not possible (and not healthy)…and you already know it.

But if you’re like many of the other mompreneurs out there, you also have a hard time letting go and relinquishing that control.

Try starting with the little things – the ones you don’t care as much about – for good practice. Additionally, try delegating tasks to those you trust the most.

Delegate tasks to your spouse, other family members, or even hiring some help if you can afford it. This will help you free up some time so that you can focus on the most important tasks at hand.

You’re a busy mom who runs her own business (or dreams of starting one) and you crave more intentional time for business and your family. This course will give you everything you need to get started, including how I work less than 20 hours a week and make over 100% more than I did before having my son.

2. MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF

It’s easy to get so wrapped up in work and taking care of your family that you forget to take care of yourself. In fact, lack of proper self care is likely why so many mompreneurs feel so out of sorts and unbalanced.

But just like an airplane needs fuel to keep flying, you need time to refuel too. Make sure to schedule some “me” time into your week with valuable self care so that you can relax and recharge.

This could be anything from getting a manicure/pedicure or going for a run. Taking some time for yourself will ultimately help you be a better mompreneur.

3. GET ORGANIZED

Having a solid plan and being organized will help you immensely in both your personal and professional life.

Invest in a good planner and start each day with a to-do list or goals. Prioritize your tasks so that you can make the most of your time. And don’t forget to schedule in some fun! As you well know, well-balanced life is a happy life.

Being a mompreneur is not for the faint of heart. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and balance to make it all work. But if you take the time to delegate tasks, make time for yourself, and get organized, you’ll be well on your way to success!
