Mompreneurs: Don’t Forget To Take Care of Yourself! (Self-Care Tips for Mom Entrepreneurs)
Being a mompreneur is no easy feat. As moms, we’re constantly juggling our roles as parents, entrepreneurs, and homemakers. It can be easy to forget to take care of ourselves amidst all the chaos.
But self-care is essential for our mental and physical well-being, so today we’re talking about how mompreneurs can make self-care a priority.

3 Self-Care Tips for Mom Entrepreneurs
1. Schedule Time For Yourself
The best way to ensure that you get the self-care you need is to schedule it into your day.
That may sound ridiculous — how can “self-care” be scheduled? But trust me when I say that if you don’t set aside time for yourself, you’ll never get it done.
So make time for yourself every single day — even if it’s just 15 minutes or 30 minutes — and stick to it! Whether it’s taking a long bath at night or going on a morning walk before work, make sure that you take some time each day just for yourself.
2. Set Boundaries With Your Business
It’s essential to remember that your business doesn’t have control over your life. You do! So set boundaries with your business and stick to them.
This means setting an end time for work each day and not checking emails in the evening or on weekends unless absolutely necessary (and even then, not without setting limits!).
If you need help staying accountable, enlist a friend or family member who will hold you accountable and remind you when it’s time to shut down the laptop and take care of yourself.
3. Practice Mindfulness
Mindfulness is all about being present in the moment and cultivating awareness of one’s thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations through meditation and other simple practices such as deep breathing exercises or yoga poses.
Mindfulness helps us stay grounded and focused on what truly matters in life — such as our physical health, mental well-being, and biggest joys in life.
And best of all? It only takes a few minutes each day! Start off by practicing mindfulness for 5-10 minutes each day first thing in the morning or at night before bedtime; once you get used to it, you can increase your practice from there!
Self-care should always be at the top of our list no matter how busy life gets. As mompreneurs, we tend to put our businesses and babies first, but taking care of ourselves should always come first if we want our businesses (and families) to thrive.
So start scheduling self-care into your day today; even if it’s just 5 minutes here or 10 minutes there at first, those little moments will add up over time and help keep your stress levels low so that you can focus on running a successful business while also enjoying quality family time!
