In short: a lot is packed into a single trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, however, there was no stopping. None. Whatsoever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And while I sit here writing this post on my first day home&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;sipping my coffee and alone for one of the first times in 8 days&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;I\u2019m in awe of not only how successful (and exhausting) the trip was, but also how much I learned from it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are 3&nbsp;important business travel lessons I learned from my 8-day trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/nickiong.com\/app\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/03\/female-entrepreneur-business-travel-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-104\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nickiong.com\/app\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/03\/female-entrepreneur-business-travel-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/nickiong.com\/app\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/03\/female-entrepreneur-business-travel-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/nickiong.com\/app\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/03\/female-entrepreneur-business-travel-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/nickiong.com\/app\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/03\/female-entrepreneur-business-travel.jpg 1350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2>1. Packing light was the best thing I\u2019ve ever done.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you know me, I\u2019m a compulsive over-packer. I want to be prepared for every possible scenario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This trip, I took a carry-on bag and backpack and filled it with as much of my life (and my must-haves) as possible. It was the best thing I could have done, because of how many modes of transportation and running around needed to happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need help packing for your next business trip, I highly recommend getting some\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.com\/search\/pins\/?rs=ac&amp;len=2&amp;q=pack%20for%20business%20trip&amp;etslf=6507&amp;eq=pack%20for%20bu&amp;term_meta[]=pack%20for%20business%20trip%7Cautocomplete%7C1\">much-needed inspiration from Pinterest<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<script async=\"\" data-uid=\"9a4e83d7d9\" src=\"https:\/\/nickiong.ck.page\/9a4e83d7d9\/index.js\"><\/script>\n<br>\n\n\n\n<h2>2.&nbsp;Take good care of your body.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve all been on trips where we over-indulge \u2013 between hearty meals and delicious drinks, it\u2019s easy to go overboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The problem? Over-indulging often leads to not getting enough sleep, becoming dehydrated, and even getting sick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So here are few helpful tips to taking better care of yourself while traveling:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Be mindful of your eating.<\/strong>&nbsp;We all know what a healthy meal looks like, so be sure to opt for a hearty&nbsp;salad over the chicken fingers!<br><\/li><li><strong>Drink plenty of water.&nbsp;<\/strong>Lack of liquids is something I personally have a hard time with while traveling. This trip, I decided to take my Nalgene along with me and fill it up whenever I could. That way, I was able to hydrate on the go!<br><\/li><li><strong>Get plenty of sleep<\/strong>. Going from 6am to 12pm every single day left little time to get the work I need to done, but it was most important that I got all the sleep I could\u2026even though I could\u2019ve used a few more hours.<br><\/li><li><strong>Exercise every day.&nbsp;<\/strong>We all know that eating a lot and being in meetings during travel&nbsp;doesn\u2019t make you feel your best. I\u2019m a big believer in doing at-home exercises or even going for a 30-minute walk. It\u2019ll truly make all the difference in the world!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>3. Even the best laid plans can change.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I planned out every detail of my trip to a T. I wouldn\u2019t have a vehicle, so I had to rely on public transportation and the kindness of friends to get me around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But, as we all know, things change and you often have to roll with the punches. Even on a business trip, it\u2019s invaluable to be patient and adapt to changes around you. You\u2019ll be all the less stressed for it in the long run!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What are some of the best lessons you\u2019ve learned from travel?
