As an entrepreneur, you\u2019re used to operating as a team of one (or just a few) and that means that a lot of jobs fall to your shoulders\u2026including your marketing efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you\u2019re not ready to relinquish control for your business\u2019s marketing or you simply don\u2019t have the budget to outsource right now, you are currently responsible for any and all marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many entrepreneurs, that heavy responsibility may or may not end up getting accomplished. You may be sporadically marketing or, worse yet, not doing anything at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From both personal experience and in talking to many of my clients, I know one thing to be true: marketing for your business often gets put on the bottom of the to do list.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019re really good at what you do and that\u2019s why you\u2019re in business, but marketing is a job unto itself and a second (or even third) job for you, at that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if you commit to consistent marketing for your brand until the time when you can outsource it, there\u2019s only one best practice you need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Treat yourself like a customer.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re like most business owners, you don\u2019t leave your customers high and dry like you might with your marketing efforts. Of course not \u2013 they\u2019re why<\/em> you\u2019re in business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s why treating yourself like a customer will ensure you\u2019ll be more consistent, aware, and proactive about your marketing efforts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
