Where do you begin&nbsp;building a social media following with your ideal customer in mind?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are&nbsp;6 tips that will help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>1.&nbsp;Use the right channels and posts.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You simply cannot engage your audience without targeting the proper channels. While this seems like a simple concept, it\u2019s an easy mistake that plenty of companies make. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your content is not geared toward the right audience or on the right platform, then what\u2019s the point of marketing on social media at all?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>2. Personalize the interaction.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Personalize social interactions to your audience. What are they interested in? What will compel them to want to do business with you? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delight them and build your brand by building a personalized attitude and perception for your community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>3.&nbsp;Listen.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Great social media marketing is done&nbsp;in the listening \u2013 not in the posting. Understand&nbsp;your customers\u2019 unique challenges by listening for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Try following hashtags in your niche or regularly reading posts by your target customers. Once you hear your customers\u2019 needs, then you\u2019ll be able to act upon them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<script async=\"\" data-uid=\"9a4e83d7d9\" src=\"https:\/\/nickiong.ck.page\/9a4e83d7d9\/index.js\"><\/script>\n<br>\n\n\n\n<h2>4.&nbsp;Engage.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Regularly engage with your followers by liking their posts, responding to tags or concerns, and regularly following new target audience members. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should there be an issue, always respond quickly to make it right; your social media following will be looking for immediate answers to any problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>5.&nbsp;Measure, measure, measure.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s impossible to&nbsp;more effectively engage your audience and capture new customers if you aren\u2019t measuring your activity and engagement. (After all, you can\u2019t manage what you don\u2019t measure!) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You also can\u2019t expect to improve on that which you\u2019re not measuring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>6. Integrate.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Last, but certainly not least, is integration. Strategize to incorporate your metrics and customers\u2019 needs into any portals, membership areas, communication tools, sales tools, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allow customers to engage via social media through every step within the sales process in a way that makes the most sense for them.
