So many businesses make the mistake of forgetting \u2013 or simply refusing to create \u2013 valuable content. After all, content is still king, and everyone<\/em> has something valuable to add to the conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your business isn\u2019t already creating content, you\u2019re making a big mistake. Here are four reasons why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. You\u2019re not trying.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When faced with the idea of creating content, businesses of all sizes throw in the towel before giving it a real shot. Creating content is overwhelming, but it doesn\u2019t have to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating valuable content can be more simple than you realize when you\u2019re creating something that makes sense for your business and <\/em>your audience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The real question isn\u2019t how do you create content? <\/em>It\u2019s how do you add value to the conversation?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So before you give up on content creation, start by considering it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. You\u2019re making excuses.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Time. Money. Lack of ideas.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are all excuses \u2013 and I have a rebuttal for each\u2026don\u2019t you worry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TIME<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Time is the biggest excuse of all. You don\u2019t have time to think about content creation, let alone the time to create it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How about hiring out your content? (Perhaps a company like ours?!<\/a>) You can also consider hiring an intern to create social media copy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An internal employee (or two) may find an hour a week to blog or create content. Or better yet: you build it into every employee\u2019s schedule by regularly receiving ideas, posts, photos, and videos from everyone in the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MONEY<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

As you saw above, finances don\u2019t need to be the end-all-be-all when it comes to your content. Interns can be paid at a fraction of the cost as your full-time employees or contracted firms. Similarly, you\u2019re already paying your full-time employees\u2026why not look to them for help?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And lastly, think of hiring digital marketing firms as an investment<\/em>, rather than a cost. If the agency is doing its job, their work should pay for itself in no time at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LACK OF IDEAS<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I just have two words for this: Google it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don\u2019t think there\u2019s anything in your business or your industry to be creating content about, you needn\u2019t look any further than Google. There, you\u2019ll find an abundance of information about what you do and, likely, by your competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
