30 Things We Should All Take the Extra Time and Just Do

Accomplishing small tasks throughout the day will help you feel good and productive.

Here are 30 things we should all take the extra time and just do.

It only takes 30 seconds…

  1. Unsubscribe from email newsletters that you delete anyway. It only takes a second to delete those emails…every day. Imagine how full your life would be without them.
  2. Floss. Your teeth will thank you.
  3. Make the bed. You’ll feel worlds more organized and ready to start your day.
  4. Drink a glass of water. I don’t know how many of us don’t get enough water throughout the day, but I know it’s a lot.
  5. Stop. Close your eyes. Clear your mind. Take a deep breath. And sigh it out.
  6. Have a 30 second dance party. It’s straight out of Grey’s Anatomy, but having one with your best friend makes it even better.
  7. Tell a friend/family member you love them.
  8. Put on some lipstick. Red. Pink. Blue. Whatever you feel like. You’ll feel all sorts of dressed up.
  9. Give someone a nice, big hug.
  10. Do as many pushups as you can for 30 seconds. If you were tired, your blood will be pumping, now!

Ready to create harmony in your busy life?

It only takes 5 minutes…

  1. Rearrange your furniture. You’ll feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
  2. Write a letter to someone you haven’t talked to in a while…and send it. In the mailbox.
  3. Make some tea. Especially this time of the year, it’ll make you feel wonderful.
  4. Do a 5 minute yoga series.
  5. Send someone you love a card on Shutterfly. They’re even cheaper than buying one in a store…plus, they’re personalized! It’s a great way to let someone know you’re thinking about them.
  6. Straighten up the fridge. It can be one of those places where we forget some things in the back or don’t scrub it as much as we should.
  7. Print new photos and switch out old ones in your frames.
  8. Write in a journal. Whether you write once a day or once a month, it’s very cool to look back and read about what you were thinking/doing at the time!
  9. Update your bucket list.
  10. Update your computer. (You know those annoying pop up windows? Click them. Update. Enjoy.)

It only takes 30 minutes…

  1. Go through your closet and give away clothes you’ve worn little to no times over the past year. THEN decide if you still need to go shopping.
  2. Watch a documentary on National Geographic or the History Channel and learn about something new.
  3. Go outside and play with your dog or your kids.
  4. Reorganize ONE cabinet/closet/section of your house you’ve been meaning to for a while.
  5. Go for a walk. Fresh air does the body good.
  6. Take a relaxing bubble bath.
  7. Call someone you haven’t in a while and catch up.
  8. Cook a healthy meal instead of the one that takes 3 minutes and comes from a can or a box.
  9. Work out. You’d be surprised how many calories you can burn in 30 minutes and with sites like Women’s Health, you can get a workout you can do at home!
  10. Read. Fiction, nonfiction; it doesn’t matter. Turn off the TV and open a book instead!

Which over these 30 things are you going to start with ?
