DIY: Easy Art with Pillowcases or Fabric

Desperate for some art on the wall?

Try something simple.

Try fabric.

My roommate had some extra pillowcases laying around and she suggested we use them for art work since we didn’t have any pillows to fit. Perfect!

For frames, I got a ton of icky-looking frames from the Dollar Store (for $1, of course) and spray painted them all white.

Then, I popped the pillowcases in the frames.

But found – thanks to my cheapo frames – that the fabric wasn’t fitting.

You see, I didn’t want to cut the pillowcases in case my roommate wants to use them in the future. This may also be the case if you have a favorite piece of fabric that you’re framing – perhaps a shirt or something similar.

No problem. I took some black duct tape and lined the edges so that it was both sealed and contained.

Voila! Easy artwork!!!
