What Are Your Words for 2018?
Do you have a word (or words) for the new year?
You’ve likely heard of your friends choosing a word for the year, as it’s become more and more popular in the past few years.
By choosing a word or words for the year, you are telling yourself (and the universe) that you are laser-focusing on certain areas in your life. The words themselves are meant to inspire and motivate you for the coming year.
Pretty cool, right?
The idea takes the premise of a New Year’s Resolution to the next level, as you are getting very specific and focused on your goals.
Ready to get started?
- Start by thinking very carefully: what is your 2018 focus going to be?
- Define very clear and specific words around those goals/that focus. Pick 1 – 3 single words.
- Incorporate those words into whatever works for you: post-it notes around the house, daily affirmations, journaling, meditation, etc.
In order to help get you started with a little inspiration, the words I’ve chosen are: humble and hustle.

Humility
Staying humble has always been extraordinarily important to me.
I believe that humility is a positive affirmation of remaining down to earth, grounded, and authentic. I believe that you can be both confident and humble, and that that goes that much further into creating a more authentic you.
Hustle
This year is the year of hustle for Nicki, my friends!! Woot woot!
I want 2018 to be a year of so much growth – in both my business and my personal life – and I have a ton of big goals and dreams that I want to accomplish this year.
How’s it going to get done? Obviously, everyday I’m hustlin’!
