3 Times When It’s OK to Ask For Help From Your Customers
When it comes to being an entrepreneur, it’s easy to get into a “you know best” mode. You want to be seen as the expert, and sometimes it doesn’t feel like asking for help is a good thing.
Take a big bite of humble pie, dear business owner, because asking for your customers’ help is only going to help your business.

Here are three times asking for help can be beneficial for your web marketing efforts.
1. Feedback on your website
If you’re in the process of building a new website or thinking about rebuilding, take this opportunity to ask those who will be using your site what they’d like to see. Ask your audience what they like and what could be improved in order to create an even more robust design and user experience.
Remember that you’re not going to be able to please everyone. You still have to balance form and function on your site, so try to use the consensus of what you hear to build a powerful new site.
2. Content & SEO
Whenever we start a new SEO project for a client, we always ask what their top keywords are. While we recommend everyone consults with their customers to do this, most (admittedly) do not. After all, as the business owner, you know your industry best, right? Not always.
You see, the keywords your customers use and content they are searching for varies greatly from what you, as the business owner, would look for. This is a quick and easy thing to do. Simply ask “what would you search for on Google if you were looking for a business like ours?” or “what kind of content could we provide on our blog or email newsletter that would be of help to you?”
Like all business should be: the customer comes first.
3. Customer reviews
This is a no-brainer, but something that businesses really don’t ask for enough. You obviously need to come to your customers to get reviews, but many businesses get nervous about doing it.
You can simply ask: “will you leave us a review?” The reality? The worst a customer is going to say is “no.” Or take it to the next level. Why not offer them an incentive? 10% off your next purchase if you leave a review.
Asking for help is tough, but these three instances will help your business grow.
