3 Ways to Ensure Your Blog Fails

We talk about blogging a lot…and for good reason.

Blogging can help your business online in a number of ways, one of the biggest being with Search Engine Optimization.

That said, blogging isn’t for everyone. Here are just a few reasons to ensure that your blog will fail.

1. Never write

It may seem obvious, but if you never write, you’ll never succeed at blogging.

But even more than that, if you never write the right kind of posts, you’ll never succeed either.

If you’re not writing for your audience and creating posts that may be more self-serving or more press release – like, it’s very possible that you won’t see the traffic you’d see if you write for your audience.

2. Never share

Never use your social media outlets or other outlets for sharing posts? Sadly, your blog will be doomed.

Unless you’ve established a large subscription list for your blog, it’s very difficult to get immediate interest in a post unless you incorporate all your channels.

And why wouldn’t you? You’ve more than likely set up and worked on creating networks on your social media accounts or an email list…now it’s time to put them to good use!

3. Never write just to write

The name of the game is quality, not quantity.

Bloggers often fail when they create content just to create it. Whether it’s too short or too long, content that doesn’t do your audience any good – similar to #1 – won’t end up doing you any good.

Instead, spend the extra time to create great, worthwhile content each and every time you blog.
