10 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me
The following post is apart of Alex Beadon’s Feel Good Blogging Challenge. Admittedly, I was skeptical about something like this, but it’s turning out to be a powerful blogging exercise!
Today’s challenge is another personal one – 10 things you probably don’t know about me. Let’s get right to it!

- Most people know that I was a cheerleader and ran track, but when I was younger I also played softball and basketball.
- I recently discovered I amongst 15-20% of the population who are Highly Sensitive People. (More on this at a later date.)
- I avoid carbs like pasta and bread because I’m convinced once I start eating them I’ll never stop. (On a side note, I’d like to enter an eating contest one day!)
- It’s no secret I love to travel, but where I’d most like to go is Paris and some surrounding quaint cities in France. Wanting to go to Paris may sound cliché, but I want to go for the art, the rich culture, and yes, for the Eiffel Tower. 😉
- My vice is ice cream; especially Rocky Road. I could eat my body weight in it without even blinking.
- I work out because I love feeling strong. Subconsciously, I think it’s because I want to feel like a bad ass woman who can take care of herself!
- I was a lifeguard for about 10 years, starting at 14 years old. I guarded everywhere from kids camps to pools to the ocean, and I also taught swim lessons and water aerobics all through college.
- I own a full set of women’s hockey gear – including female cup. My family is from Maine, afterall!
- I often share that I tore both ACLs/meniscuses (meniscusi?) in high school in college, but I also broke both arms (separately) in elementary school.
- I have future plans to get an English degree, become a psychologist, and later a college professor.
What’s something people probably don’t know about you?
